Welcome to the Timber Lane Elementary PTA

The Timber Lane Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is an incredible group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the needs of Timber Lane teachers, staff, and students. Volunteering with the PTA is a great way to invest in your school community, develop deeper connections, and establish a trusted network of parent support.

Your involvement can take many shapes; whether it’s supporting teachers in the classroom, helping fundraise, or sharing your time and expertise. Your support can help our school community thrive!

By joining the PTA, you help us meet our school's needs that are outside the scope of their budget

Membership for families is $15 a year. Teacher memberships are $10.

BACK TO SCHOOL FAQs

    • When will I find out who my student's 24-25 teacher is?

Later this summer families will receive paper notification of teacher assignments for this year and information directly from transportation for your child’s bus route. The school's goal will be for families to receive these notifications by early August.

I have a new student who will be joining the TLES family this year, are there ways I can get to know other families and learn more about TLES?

On August 1st, you can join an informational meeting and tour for new TLES families from 3:00-4:00pm. Meet in the library to learn more about TLES, followed by a tour of the building. On August 13th at 4PM, TLES is hosting a playdate for all kindergarten students at the TLES playground. Popsicles will be served to help beat the heat! It is a great chance for your little one to get familiar with the playground area and meet new friends. You can find other back to school events on the PTA calendar.

    • What school supplies does my student need for the 24-25 school year?

You can find grade level's school supply list here. Remember, there is no supply fair this year. Once you purchase your school supplies, you can drop them off in your child's classroom during this year's Open House on August 15, or send them to school with your student on the first day.

    • What time does school start?

School doors open at 8:30am and the first bell rings at 8:40am. Classes officially begin at 8:50am. If you arrive to school after 8:50am you should plan to enter through Door 1 and sign in at the front desk.

    • My student plans to ride the bus, what's the best way to know when the bus will arrive at my bus stop?

Download the HereComesTheBus mobile app by clicking here. You should expect bus delays and inconsistencies the first week or two as bus drivers, the school, and students adjust to new routines. This app is the best way to ensure you have the most up to date information. Remember, kindergarten-aged bus riders will not be released from the bus without an adult present at the bus stop!

    • What door do students who walk to school use?

All students who walk to school (grades Pre-K through 6th) should enter the school through Door 2. You can use this visual as a reference for both walkers and kiss-and-ride entry/exit points.  Remember, Pre-K students are required to be walked to Door 2 and handed off to a Pre-K staff member.

    • My student plans to attend SACC, where do they enter the school?

All students who attend morning SACC should enter the school through Door 5 (located on the blacktop across from the playground). You'll need to ring the bell so a SACC staff member can open the door. Please ensure all SACC students are dropped off before 8:30am when the kiss-and-ride procedures begin.

GENERAL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • If I join the PTA, do I have to volunteer my time?

Volunteering is not required! You can join and pay dues simply to support our activities. Volunteering isn't required to be a part of the PTA. And if you want to volunteer, but aren't a dues-paying PTA member, that's okay too!

  • If I join the PTA, do I have to go to PTA meetings?

Meetings are 100% optional! We love when parents join us at PTA meetings. It's a great way to learn about what's happening at school, hear from teachers and other guest speakers, learn about volunteer opportunities, and to ask any questions. However, you are not required to go to meetings, even if you join the PTA.
